Reflection Exercise: Jump or Splash
A 10-min exercise to examine our responses to uncertain situations
In the latest article from Space2Be-Human, we introduced the idea of Pyschological Splashing and Jumping:
‘Jumpers go straight into a pressured or uncertain situation with little, if any, hesitation. They immerse themselves and embrace any immediate discomfort or pain. Splashers are more cautious and tend to enter the same unknown or challenging situation slowly, looking to avoid or postpone any potential discomfort or pain.’
We said in the article that we believe not one is better than the other; each has different limits and opportunities, and our responses are often contextual.
